Leadership
Leadership is what you do, not just what you tell people to do. It is also what people see you doing. In this photo our C.O. Wayne works with young Andrew to work around to the back side of the castle. Andrew is not part of our team but that does not stop Wayne from working closely with him to try and breach the backdoor. (I had already been taken out) They breached the backdoor right as the last defender was eliminated. If I did not know Wayne or Andrew and I saw this photograph I would assume that they were teammates. That is the image of paintball Gangrene wants to portray. An image of teamwork and good sportsmanship. The Image of leadership.

Fuzzy Bunnies take Most Valuable Team for the Soviet side.
February 27th 2010
On February 27th at Fox 4 Paintball in Upton Mass the Fuzzy Bunnies took MVT for the Soviet side. It was a wet and muddy day with periods of snow and sleet. The field was a swamp and the skies were gray. Due to these conditions only ten Fuzzy Bunnies played on that day. So how did we get MVT with only ten players? Teamwork and communication! We were in constant contact with our general via radio. He could call us for updates at any time and keep us informed of current objectives.
Fuzzy Bunnies help Matt's Outback Paitball.
The Fuzzy Bunnies paintball team based out of Matt's Outback Paintball in Coventry Connecticut meet twice a month to help improve and maintain the field. On March 21st the Bunnies worked to improve the Castle. The bunkers were improved and new ones added. The the "dead box" was expanded and members worked to hang more netting to create a new room. The bunnies also picked up trash around the Castle. The Commanding Officer for the Gangrene Squad was quoted as saying "If it doesn't grow it goes".
And of course we played paintball. The first game was a little lopsided. It was a game of attack and defend the castle. The defenders were a bunch of brave "rentals" (the term is not meant to be demeaning) who volunteer to defend. The Attackers were the Fuzzy Bunnies with the Gangrene and Mouthy Mimes squads working in three groups. The Mouthy Mimes split into two teams, Alpha team was going up the middle and Bravo team was going to take the left side. Gangrene was going up the right side. The plan was for Bravo and Gangrene to meet at the back and stack up. Alpha team was going in through the front. We entered the castle and realized we had eliminated 80% of the defenders before we entered. The last defender surrendered and smiled while doing it. We took the castle but we decided/were "encouraged" to mix up the teams a little.
As a team we are improving our skills and trying to raise the bar every time we play. However we do not want to destroy every new player that comes out to play. We are not bullies. Our goal is to promote the sport of paintball and show people that anyone can play. We strive to promote good sportsmanship and act as role models for everyone that is out there on the field.
